Unreachable goals for your business is sabotaging yourself

Most of the goals aspired to by the owner/board/managers of a business seem unmeasurable or nearly impossible to reach.  More importantly, these goals usually miss the point.

Some examples include:

  • We want to be market leaders.
  • Be the “go to” supplier/business when it comes to our product.
  • Have a safe working environment.

In order to stop missing the point, start quantifying your business goals:

  • To be 4% profitable by the end of the year.
  • To strive towards having at least an 80% client retention rate.
  • Enhance customer satisfaction to 95%.
  • To endeavour to assert a 20% market share.
  • To have employees who feel they make a difference.

These goals should be made visible throughout the business in smart

locations like restrooms, the canteen etc.

Let the employees recite the goals. Even if they don’t believe in these goals, their subconscious mind will push it forward to take into consideration when it’s time for decision making.

Your consultant can assist with an evaluation on how quantifiably your business goals are.
